An Interview With Hansikha Motwani

Teenage sensation Hansika Motwani who climbed the ladder of success and fame with her very first release 'Aap Ka Suroor' would soon be seen paired against Virar Ka Chora, Govinda in the film, 'Money Hai To Honey Hai'.

Hansika shares that the character she plays in the film is very close to what she actually is in her real life.

Q. What's the story line of your upcoming film, Money Hai To Honey Hai?
A. I cannot reveal much about the film. All I can tell you is that it's a comedy flick which I am sure people are going to enjoy. Just wait and watch.

Q. Your character in it…
A. Well, I am playing the character of a television star who wants to be a film actress. The character tells how she works to become a star when she has money.

Q. So what kind of preparations have you done for the film?
A. For this film I have really worked hard on my looks. I look completely different from my first film. Also I have toned down to give this role a very happening look. Hopefully audience will get a pleasant surprise.

Q. How close is the character to your real self?
A. Yes, the character is very close to my real life. Playing me was fun.

Q. How was it working with such a versatile and senior actor like Govinda?
A. Working with Govinda sir was a pleasure for me. I got to work with him at a beginning of my career. I find myself lucky. I learnt a lot from him. Also he helped me out with dancing.

Q. Any interesting incident that you can recall that took place during the shoot?
A. Actually nothing in particular, because during the shoot of the whole film, we enjoyed a lot. We used to have lunch together, and at times we played cards too. The whole film was a treat for me.

Q. Did anyone play any kind of prank on you on the sets?
A. Touchwood, no one has ever played any prank on me yet. As I was the youngest on the set, everyone used to be very sweet and kind to me. Above all, I too was a good girl there.

Q. How easy or hard is it to adjust between film shoots and your schooling?
A. Not very hard because I study in international board which has a very flexible schedule. Being a doctor's child, it's very important for me to concentrate on my studies as well.

Q. What are the other projects you are working on?
A. I am not allowed to disclose anything. Let the time come and everything will be clear. But yes, I can promise one thing that people are going to see me more.

High Drama on the sets of “Horn Ok Please”

Apparently, the shooting was stalled when Tanushree Dutta, who was to do an item number, allegedly refused to perform with the film's lead, Nana Patekar .This enraged the producer, Sami Siddiqui, so much that he cancelled the shooting, and he ousted Tanushree from the film.

The actress will now be replaced by Rakhi Sawant. The song will be shot this afternoon. The incident blew out of proportion when Tanushree refused to come out of her vanity van, thus delaying the shoot for over two hours. Irked by Tanushree's unprofessionalism, the producer cancelled the shoot.

While the reason for Tanushree's behaviour is unknown, a Mumbai tabloid has hinted that the actress' skimpy outfit was the cause of the spat. Apparently, a unit member made a lewd remark, which upset the actress. What added salt to injury was Nana Patekar's remark, which implied that the actress should have known better than to appear for the shoot, uncovered.

Horn Ok Please is directed by Rakesh Sarang, and also stars Muzzamil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen.

Yuvraj Singh wasn't loyal to Deepika Padukone

The very gorgeous Deepika Padukone has surely created a wave amongst men after her sensational and outstanding debut with OSO, so much so that she has been seen with various men at various phases of her life, post the success of the film..

The girl was spotted first with cricketer Dhoni and later in Australia with Yuvraj Singh with whom she spent her birthday in a grand style..

Well, after all this, the girl now seems to have jumped to another shoulder and the buzz now is that she is dating newcomer and star-son, Ranbir Kapoor.

Now, what exactly is the truth?

According to our sources, "Deepika is in reality a conservative cultured well brought-up girl with the right values. Her relationship with a cricketer fell flat in Australia where he was constantly cheating on her.

The heartbroken girl got a solid support system from Ranbir Kapoor at this point of time. They're both in a very happy relationship right now".

On the work front, Deepika has just returned from shoot with Akshay Kumar in Bangkok for Chandni Chowk, and will travel again for the same film later this week..

Looks like work comes first for Deepika now

Tulip Joshi :The hot guide to Egypt

"The most fascinating thing about Egypt is its mystical value," says Tulip Joshi. Egypt renowned for its unusual beauty leaves one awestruck at the very first sight. Be it the Great Pyramids of Giza or temple at Abu Simbel, Egypt is a rare combination of historic and scenic beauty. However, what makes Egypt one of the most enthralling places in the world to visit is its museums which narrates the tales of mummified bodies.

"Here I am in the middle of the desert admiring the beauty of this place which is so unique." Behind Tulip is the most incredible creation of Egyptians -a set of three pyramids with Kufur being the tallest one. "The most intriguing fact is the beautiful structure of these pyramids built 5000 years ago when there were no special equipments," exclaims Tulip. Interestingly, Tulip was mistaken as some local Television actor by the locals around, while climbing the narrow lanes of the pyramids. "It was claustrophobic inside and I was taken aback looking at the locals climbing the pyramids with so much ease. One of the rooms in the pyramid sheltering the King's tomb is a delight to witness after the breathless journey up there," says excited Tulip. Besides Pyramids, something unique about Egyptian culture is the museums embellished with the scripts, the belongings of the kings and queens and the mummified bodies of human beings and animals are something.

This picture is Sharm El-Sheikh one of the most stunning resorts Tulip says she had never been to. Tulip is standing in the bar surrounded by the resort, a fantastic place to party with beautiful beaches where one can relax, get some nice sun tan and swim," exclaims Tulip. "Egyptians are fun-loving people. Often seen enjoying hookahs at the beautiful corners of the city thus, making it so vivacious that one would love to stay there forever. Also, one cannot withhold from buying beautiful paintings which talk volumes of this ever-spectacular city. However, it is Mumbai where I would love to spend my entire life," signs off Tulip.

Kajol's Holi Adventure with Ajay

Vivacious Kajol and ultra sober Ajay make one of the most romantic real-life Jodis in Bollywood. Kajol at her mischievous best sluicing down Ajay in the above picture says it all. The couple was spotted having a gala time playing Holi at their Juhu residence.

Looking at the scene one can surely appraise the beautiful relationship the couple share. The couple will also been seen onscreen soon in the romantic flick U, Me Aur Hum. Wonder, what must've been the scene on the sets of the film considering the fact that Ajay himself is the director of the film.

Preity Zinta to do her first Item Number

Ash, Bipasha, Kareena, Mallika, Katrina, move over! We have a new item girl in town... any guesses? Well, in continuing with the saga of Bollywood's leading actresses turning into items girls, we have 'bubbly' Zintabulous Preity, who will be joining the item brigade. 'PZ' has decided to take a 'break' from her fimli career as she is busy planning and making strategy for her newly acquired Cricket franchise Mohali IPL team.

But she has taken out time from her busy schedule to do an item number for Salman and Kareena starrer Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

A close friend of Salman Khan confirms that Preity will be doing an item number for Main Aur Mrs Khanna. Though she is busy in planning promotion video of her Mohali IPL team, she is keen to do an item number in Salman's film. "Salman and Preity are very good friends. The song requires a known face thus the debutant director Prem Soni suggested Priety's name. Preity who has already finished shooting of Har Pal and Last Lear is yet to sign new films, but she agreed to do the special number for her 'good friend'. "She has agreed to do this song because it's not typical item number," says a unit member.

For all those who came in late, Preity hasn't done any item song before hence this will be her first item song. Main Aur Mrs. Khanna is an intensely romantic film. Debutant director Prem Soni has started shooting from Tuesday and currently shooting at Filmcity. Main Aur Mrs Khanna also stars Salman;s brother Sohail Khan in a prominent role, we guess the main attraction will be Preity's item number.

Niharika singh dubuts opposite Himesh in A Love Iiisshtory

Niharika Singh is no stranger to fame. At the age of 21 she won the Ponds Femina Miss India Earth pageant. She is now debuting opposite Himesh Reshammiya in John Matthew Mathan's 'A Love Iiisshtory'.

Not only that, Himesh has also decided to cast Niharika in his next film 'Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke'.

And it isn't just an ordinary you-sing-I-dance kind of routine debut for the model-turned-actress.

Niharika plays a young prematurely affluent millionaire with enough money to buy her own private jets in all her favourite colours.

'I don't know how it happened,' Niharika laughs. 'I never tried for the role, never approached anyone. I never even thought I was eligible. One fine day I got a call from the director asking me to see him. I think Himesh and John must have seen my ads,' Niharika told IANS.

Niharika is at the moment preparing fiercely for her part. 'I'm attending Barry John's classes every evening to prepare myself before the shooting starts in April. But this period between being signed and facing the camera is excruciating. I don't know how other debutantes cope with the waiting period. I'm going nuts.'

The role requires Niharika to play a standoffish no-nonsense heiress who deals with billions across the table and has forgotten how to have fun.

'I play an heiress who doesn't enjoy wealth...until this street-smart dude played by Himesh enters her life. It's actually like playing a female Vijay Mallya, though much cooler than him.'

So what does the heiress do to have fun? 'Listen to Himesh Reshammiya tracks, I guess,' Niharika laughs.

'It's a challenge to play a haughty heiress because I'm nothing like that in real life. I'm a very middleclass girl with values to match. And if Himesh and John think I can carry off the female tycoon's part (earlier attempted by Sridevi in 'Laadla', Priyanka Chopra in 'Aitraaz' and Bipasha Basu in 'Corporate') then I guess I must be good!'

An out-of-towner with no connections in the entertainment labyrinth of Mumbai, Niharika arrived in the city five years ago with her kid sister Garima.

'My father who's in the tourist department of Uttar Pradesh trusted me enough to let me be in-charge not just of my own life at that early age but also to take care of my sister's future. I wish more parents in our country would trust their daughters as much as they generally do their sons,' says the 25-year old actress with endearing spunk.

So is she a fan of Himesh's tracks? 'Who isn't? I love his music. Sadly I can't sing in his voice in my film.'

As an after-thought she adds, 'There're two Johns in my life right now...John Matthew Mathan and Barry John. Now all I need is John Abraham. Maybe in my third film. Who knows! Right now I'm just excited about two films with Himesh.'

Ajay Devgan & Salman Khan Team up in Vipul Shah's "London Dreams"

There is much speculation about whom Vipul Shah will cast in his next directorial venture, London Dreams. While most insist that Vipul’s favourite Akshay Kumar is going to be a part of this one, Vipul surprises us with, “No, Akshay isn’t in the film!”

To set the record straight once and for all, Shah continues, “Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan will be my protagonists. Everyday, some paper or the other gives out wrong information. Hopefully, no one will have a doubt now.”

Now that we are set on the actors, which actress is going to be cast in this one? “Again, it’s not Katrina, like it’s being speculated, we haven’t even approached her.

The decision about the female lead still has to be made,” informs Vipul. Considering that Ajay and Sallu rocked the box office and the audiences with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, looks like Vipul is ‘dreaming’ big, already!

Too many twists spoil the plot in “Race”

Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif die, and Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu split the cash with Anil Kapoor , after giving him a death threat. That is the climax of the latest Abbas-Mustan film, Race.

Abbasbhai and Mustanbhai are veteran practitioners of the fatafat produced thriller, but this their biggest budget effort by far tries to be slick and stylish while actually trying to cling on to a plot. There's nothing wrong with unpredictability, but it needs to be thought through. A-M bhailog, these many twists suit jalebiwallahs better than filmmakers.

Our film opens with horse races, but aside from having a few whinnying stallions in the background every now and then largely to frame a shirtless Saif -- there's really not much about that world in this film save for a couple of races, fixed with painful, amateurish obviousness. This is Durban and top horse owners are archrivals Saif and Dalip Tahil, the latter again forced into an inconsequential, villain-caricature role.

Anyway, Saif plays a gruff and stubbly millionaire not given to much emotional expression, hiding most of them behind his big sunglasses. He does, however, intensely love his stepbrother Akshaye, a good-for-nothing drunk with a hipflask surgically attached to his palm.

Saif's sexy secretary Katrina is in love with him that is informed by Anil Kapoor's voice in the sort of inconsistent know-it-all narrative that smells fishy, rather like scarlet herrings. Kapoor also tells that Saif is quite hot and heavy with Bipasha, who models Provogue garments for South Africa.

And now begins the carnival of twists, with each character stripped bare to show money-lust where some shred of morality would usually lie. Here, it is only the characters that lie, throughout the film.

And while it's perfectly acceptable for a thriller to be dark and cynical and let the characters chart their own sordid course, it is vital to either have somebody in the whole film that actually has a code of ethics or create characters compelling enough to root for, despite their hardcore darkness.

Here, the directors take another route the one that presumably stands for the all-important word 'commercial.' This is a simple route: it asks to focus on the stunts and the skirts, and let the twists lie there just for impact. Unfortunately, unlike the Dhoom 2 that this film is desperately craving to be, Race can't go all the way into the insubstantial and gets caught up in actually trying to tell a story and it's a helluva loopy tale. And it's nowhere near as slick as it needs to be.

Saif Ali Khan is completely wasted in the film, his apparent preparation for the character being not to shave for a while, and to perhaps trim a few kilos so that the immense suspension of disbelief doesn't seem as abrupt. Not that it helps. He grunts mannequin-like through the motions, mostly looking like he wandered on the sets from another film.

Akshaye Khanna has the film's main role, and while his smirk and his shrug manage a couple of lines alright, this really isn't a performance to talk about. Never convincing, the otherwise competent Khanna too seems to be phoning in this role, more at ease grimacing behind the wheel than actually delivering his constant, overwritten punchlines.

The girls? Bipasha Basu looks visibly uncomfortable in the part, squirming from one inappropriate costume to another, and really needs to work on her 'casual' English. Katrina Kaif looks significantly hot dressed in raunchy secretary gear, but the more she's kept away from the dialogues the better. Sameera Reddy plays Kapoor's bimbette assistant, and perpetually wears the disbelieving grin of a girl who can't believe she's getting to share screen space with Saif and Anil.Kapoor, despite being armed with nothing but fruits and groan-provoking lines, emerges as the only character to like in this vague mess. Not only does the actor carry off a horseshoe moustache like it's nobody's business, but his post-interval entry into the film injects some life into the random 'thrills.'

All in all, it's a rank amateur effort. The actors do their bit, but they too are mostly detachedly going through the motions hoping the camera and the cool moments would carry them through. They don't. This is a boringly shot, shabbily edited film, and it's hard to imagine anyone watching it and actually feeling the twists without laughing at them.

Making a just resolution to the case seems unattainable.

Preity goes big for IPL

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia’s IPL music video will be hip-hop bhangra mish-mash. Like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia too are leaving no stone unturned to promote their IPL cricket teams. While SRK has already completed and launched his first music video in Kolkata and Mumbai, Preity has just completed shooting her IPL music video for her Mohali team.

Says a source, “Preity Zinta was to shoot at a studio in Saki Naka and initially had trouble completing her music video. They were shooting last Friday but had to wind up early as Salman Khan, Dara Singh, and some cricketers who were to be part of the video didn’t turn up. Sajid-Wajid will compose the music and had their first sitting at Ness Wadia’s home. Preity has opened her own production company called P Zinta Film World and is doing the shooting through her own company.”

When we checked with Preity, who is currently travelling, she e-mailed us back saying, “The actor and cricketer part is untrue. We did shoot for a video. Everything else reported is a rumour. There were no problems whatsoever. The video was made under my company P. Zinta Film World. All details of the video will be announced at a press conference and we would not like to discuss it now.”

Music director Sajid (of the Sajid-Wajid duo) says, “We have composed the music for Preity’s IPL music video. In fact, Wajid and I have acted for the first time in the video. We recently finished shooting for it. It’s a crazy, exciting video directed by ad filmmaker Ram Madhvani.

After our hits, Partner and Welcome, this music video will be the next hottest thing. It’s very Punjabi, is sung by Daler Mehndi and has rocking dance numbers with unbelievable bhangra. There are other people in the video.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Mallya have also made music videos for their Kolkata and Bangalore IPL teams. Vishal-Shekhar have composed the music for SRK’s music video.

The buzz is that Preity is in talks with Bobby and Sunny Deol for her music video. A source adds, “She is very keen on getting Sunny and Bobby for the song. She’s best friends with Bobby and he’s trying to work out dates he can commit to her.”

If all goes well, Preity will not only have the brothers but also Dharam paaji in the video. “She wants to capture the essence of the Deol family. Preity has been chasing Bobby and he is very keen to appearing in the video too.”

Not So Good A Birthday for Kangana Ranaut.

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut is in trouble. Her driver Thursday accused her of physical assault and registered a case against the star of 'Woh Lamhe' and 'Gangster - a love story'. The driver, Rajesh Shah, has alleged that Ranaut slapped him after he bumped her car into another vehicle Thursday morning, when he was driving the actor to the sets of her latest film.

The incident reportedly enraged Ranaut. Kangana later summoned the driver to her make-up van where she allegedly slapped him. The case has been filed at the Versova police station in northwestern Mumbai.

'The driver has registered a case against Kangana, her sister Rangoli Ranaut and her make-up man,' Deputy commissioner of Police Vinay Choube told IANS. Choube said the driver alleged that Kangana's sister and her make-up man were also present in the make-up van and they also assaulted him.

Who Is Salman's Love?

Apparently, Salman Khan is not promoting girlfriend Katrina Kaif (who is doing fab for herself) but a certain wannabe actress Mahek Chahal these days. Salman's banner has signed Mahek, who was earlier seen in the flop film, Nayee Padosan, for its next home production, Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Following reports that all is not well between Salman and his girlfriend, a rumour is doing rounds in the industry that Salman has developed a liking for Mahek and therefore has been promoting her. According to sources, the actor got to know her during one of his shows and felt that she had a lot of potential. Mahek was to be launched by Abbas-Mustan in Ajnabee. The role later went to Bipasha Basu.

It seems, Salman has also been recommending Mahek to many of his producer friends. In fact, Salman and Mahek seem to share more than just professional interests. Mahek is often reported to be seen on the sets of Salman's films even if she isn't involved in the project. If the little birdie is to be believed, she was seen with the actor during the outdoor shooting of his film, Wanted Dead Or Alive. Apparently, Salman even offered Mahek a song in the film, even though he is not the film's producer.

Though she has been seen in the industry circles for sometime now, she has failed miserably in her career. There was also a mention of her being linked up with Sanjay Dutt. But the rumour drowned even before it surfaced. In the history of bollywood, link-ups never got anyone plum roles; only talent did. Let's wait and watch what happens to this one.

Sushmita Sen rocks Tanushree Dutta's B'Day Party

Sushmita Sen took centre-stage last night at Tanushree Dutta’s birthday bash at a five star suburban hotel. She had invited close friends like Pooja Bedi and Hanif, Sonu Sood, Kunal Dasgupta (of Sony TV), Bobby Darling and Koena Mitra. The theme of the party was black and bling which most of them took seriously. But the person who took everyone’s breath was Sushmita Sen who walked in with Mudassar Aziz. Sush looked stunning in a black dress. For the rest of the evening she played anchor. Taking her role seriously, she announced that Bengali would be the official language at the party.

As the evening progressed she took over completely and came up with an engaging game that put all revellers on their toes. The game - ‘One to Eleven’ - required players to write numbers 1 to 11 and against each number they had to write the name of a person or a song they liked. That done, Sush read out each list and explained what the number and the name against it stood for.

That also revealed the equation that person had with the player. What followed was some revelation of best kept secrets.

Tanushree, for some reason, was very curious about what her parents had written. Interestingly, Koena had written the same name against no.3 and no.7 which meant she loved the person but would never get married to him.

Later Sush, while complimenting actor Sonu Sood for his performance in Jodhaa Akbar, asked him if he was available for her period film.

Sameera Plans to Turn to Production

There are talks that actor Sameera Reddy may begin to produce films soon.It was her sister who actually suggested that they get into production, and Sammy Baby was more than happy with the idea. Apparently, Sameera had always wanted to get into business.

But when we contacted the actor, she said nothing and left the announcement for a later stage, once something concrete has been set up.

Actors turning producers has become commonplace these days, and the news of one more joining the bandwagon is kind of boring!

Rani gets her initals stitched

Employees at Rani Mukerjee’s new Juhu abode wear uniforms bearing her initials. Rani Mukeree finally has a new address. Sources reveal that the actress recently moved from her Yari Road apartment into her new bungalow at Juhu, which has been done up by Twinkle Khanna.

What’s interesting is that Rani has got special uniforms stitched for her retinue with her initials RM on them.

Says a source who visited her new abode, “It looks like Rani is living up to her name. She has her staff wearing uniforms with her initials RM monogrammed on them.”

It is learnt that while staying with her family which include parents Ram and Krishna, brother Raja, sister-in-law Jyoti and niece Myeisha at Yari Road, Rani had a huge staff. This included a cook, two housemaids and an attendant strictly for Rani among others.

Adds the source, “As soon as she moved in to her Juhu bungalow, she had special uniforms made. When Rani had visited Aamir Khan’s house in Bandra, she was quite impressed with how everything was organised and disciplined.

She would even joke with him about how he used walkie-talkies to communicate with his staff. While she doesn’t use such technology, Rani has come up with something novel. She’s stitched special uniforms for both the guys and girls.”

Her initials RM are set in gold embroidery on the uniforms. The source adds, “It was her idea to put the initials and it’s an inside joke with her friends now.” The new house also boasts of a wall that has framed posters of all her Yash Raj releases. “Rani has put up posters of Tara Rum Pum, Bunty Aur Babli and her other Yash Raj films.” Wonder if Aditya Chopra gave inputs on the design of this corner?

Katrina Kaif to do a Item Number in Blue

The good times continue for Katrina Kaif. The actress who had the unique distinction of delivering 4 hits last year (Namstey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome) has been signing some really big and lucrative deals. However this one probably beats them all.

Katrina has been offered a whopping Rs 1.5 crore for doing a dance number and a few more scenes in Shree Ashtavinayak's Blue, which stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Lara Dutta in lead roles. The hot-n-happening actress didn't deny the amount and has apparently allotted around ten days for the film in the month of May.

Parag Desai, the media consultant of Shree Ashtavinayak confirmed having signed Katrina for Blue but didn't really confirm or deny the amount paid. In fact he even said that Katrina has a proper role in the film and not just an item number.

Looks like the sun is indeed shining bright for the Bollywood's current sunshine girl.

UPCOMING MOVIES OF THIS SUMMER IN PICS

Is Rani Engaged to Aditya?

Are Aditya & Rani engaged? The grapevine is abuzz with rumours ever since the former has filed a petition seeking divorce from his first wife at the Bandra Family Court in northwest Mumbai.

Aditya's father, movie moghul Yash Chopra, is not too happy with this alliance and therefore Aditya has moved out his family home and is now staying in a five-star hotel in suburban Mumbai.

In fact, Aditya's parents have already made it known publicly that they are against their son divorcing his wife whom they adore. This might also indirectly mean that if Aditya's marries Rani, he will have to do so against his parents' wishes.

It is speculated that Aditya's shift from his father's home is a prelude to his impending marriage with Bollywood star Rani, with whom he has been having an affair for a long time, according to sources.

A rumour has been also doing the rounds since Sunday that Aditya had, in fact, given the actress an engagement ring a day earlier when both met secretly at the hotel where he has been staying.

Though none close to the Chopras would confirm the rumour, but the fact that Aditya's petition seeking divorce from his first wife, Payal, was granted after the mandatory grace period of six months last week, lent teeth to the speculation.

'I am afraid, I will not be able to comment on the private life of my client. Moreover, I have no inkling of the exchange of engagement rings between Aditya and Rani. My client does not keep me informed about his private affairs,' Gopal Pandey, long-time publicist of Yash Raj Films, told IANS.

As a matter of fact, in deference to the reputation of Yash Raj Films, especially the position filmmaker Yash Chopra holds in Bollywood, none came forward to comment one way or the other on the 'impending' Aditya-Rani marriage, which, without confirmation, has remained a rumour.

Paris Hilton Goes Topless

Paris Hilton posed topless, in just a hat and a pair of Calvin Klein panties, for the February issue of the US magazine 944.

For the color coordinated photo shoot Hilton used green eye makeup to go with the green digits of '944' and wore peacock feather earrings.

Despite the fact that it is Paris Hilton who is posing, the overall effect is eye catching and tasteful. There is no denying her excellent body tone and good figure.

The former inmate may not have lived up to her post jail promise of visiting Rwanda but we give her credit for working hard and making a living, albeit largely by shedding her clothes.

The last thing she would want to do after such raunchy photo shoots would be to end up back in jail.

Paris had hosted 944 Magazine pre-Super Bowl Party on Thursday night, January 31.

Christopher Miles next sees Ruslaan as King Farouk

Ruslaan Mumtaaz certainly has a long way to go. Just one film old, MP3, he is already bagged an international project with Christopher Miles of The Priest of Love on DH Lawrence fame. Ruslaan will be soon seen Christopher’s next biopic venture, The Last Pharaoh, based on the last Egyptian Pharaoh, (King Farouk). Supposedly, Keira Knightley might play his love interest in the film.

Christopher was initially on a look out for an Egyptian guy for the role, but to his disappointment did not come across even one with the combination of both looks and talent. While shooting for a war sequence in the desert of Rajasthan he came across Amitabha Singh the Cinematographer of Ruslaan’s first film. Amitabha will also be the DOP for Christopher’s film. After seeing MP3, Miles saw Ruslaan and signed him after couple of auditions. To which Ruslaan claims, “I do resemble the King Farouk a lot but it’s a huge responsibility on me as an actor.”

He goes on to add, “I am excited but at the same time pretty apprehensive about the delivering my dialogues in the Brit accent. Christopher has flooded me with tapes and pictures so that I can work on my accent. However, the kind of confidence Christopher has shown on me, I feel things will eventually fall in place.”

The story revolves around the last King of Egypt during World War II. “The film will highlight the lifestyle of King Farouk. And about his courage and wisdom at the age of 23 on the war front.” The Last Pharaoh is likely to go on floors in September after monsoons and to be released by next year.

Ruslaan recently has also signed a film with writer turned director, Milap Zaveri titled Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and has Satish Kaushik’s Tere Sang slated to release this year.

However, Aishwarya, who is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, will have to work on her look before she starts shooting for the film. The filmmaker has asked an already svelte Aishwarya to lose six kgs as the actress will have to perform some stunts in Robot.

It is learnt that Ash is not only working out meticulously in her gym but also is on a strict diet to lose weight quickly.

A source close to the actress says, "Shankar has asked Ash to lose weight for Robot. Ash needs to look very thin as she will also be performing some action sequences in the thriller. To be precise, Shankar has asked her to shed six kgs. Aishwarya, who is very determined to convincingly play her role in Robot, has already hit the gym and is also on a strict diet."

Although the actress had put on some weight for her role in Jodhaa Akbar, she is working hard on her figure now. According to the source, Ash's current diet comprises sprouts and liquids like juices and soups.

And what about the rumours that Ash had stepped out of the film? "They were only rumours, which she never clarified. But she is definitely playing the lead actress opposite Rajnikanth in Robot," says the source.

Reportedly, the film is about a scientist who invents a robot to take care of his physically-challenged child. But, the scientist is forced to terminate his invention when he finds out that the robot is responsible for killing a few people.

The film's budget is a whopping Rs 100 crore. Shankar had approached actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan before he finalised Rajnikanth to play the lead role in the film.
