Preity Zinta and Neil Nitin Mukesh are soon to feature in a timepiece ad campaign. The duo will be seen flaunting the Morellato watches while endorsing the brand.

The advertisement will be shown globally and needed a guy with the international looks for which Neil was the obvious and only option. His rugged look is what the client was looking for. Preity Zinta was selected for her strong presence in the international market and for her sophistication.

Preity had shot for the ad two days before leaving for the IPL in South Africa.

Neil surely seems to be having the best period of his life as first it was the sensuous Bipasa Basu and now he got a chance to work with the sexy B-town babe- Preity Zinta.

Ashutosh Gowariker to make Rs 600 crore film on ‘Buddha’

Ashutosh Gowariker is just unstoppable. He is getting bigger by the day. After the enormous success of grand epics like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar, the director is all set for his next film- Buddha, the budget of which is expected to be Rs. 600 crore.

Ashutosh Gowariker is planning the grandest flick till date which will be based on the life of Gautam Buddha and it is expected to be the most expensive film ever made in Bollywood.

Gowariker is in talks with Industrialist BK Modi, who has been planning to make a movie on Buddha since long. Modi has been in talks with big names like Deepak Chopra and the Dalai Lama for the same .It was Ashutosh`s past projects that led Modi to decide in his favour since ‘Buddha’ is also a mega-budget flick, similar to films made by Gowariker.

Looks like this flick would prove to be a great accomplishment for Ashutosh.

Feroz Khan’s last wish was to make ‘Kurbani’ – Remake of ‘Qurbani’

Feroz Khan is no more but before he passed away he had expressed his last wish which was to finish his dream project - a remake of his 1980 blockbuster film 'Qurbani'. Apart from Feroz Khan, the original also starred Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman and Amjad Khan in pivotal roles.

His last wish was to remake ‘Qurbani’ as ‘Kurbani’. He was very keen that the film be made again and was working towards it. He had announced 'Kurbani' at the 2006 International Indian Film Academy event in Dubai. His son, actor Fardeen Khan, was to reprise his father`s role in the new version of the romantic thriller.

Feroz Khan had also decided to star in the remake of the film. He had roped in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta to wield the megaphone for the movie. Anand Raj Anand had been signed to direct the music for the remake.

Pussycat Dolls fight in public

Hot girls band "Pussycat Dolls" may be breaking up as two of the band members, Melody Thormton and Nicole Scherzinger, had a public showdown on stage during a show in Arizona. Thornton made a sarcastic remark about Scherzinger while on stage, which resulted in the latter storming off.

Sherzinger had created huge problems within the band when she insisted that their last two singles be released under the name ‘Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger’.

This name change prompted Thornton to shout to fans while giving Nicole a dirty look on stage, "Thank you for supporting me, even though I`m not featured." The entire episode happened as other group members Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Jessica Sutta looked on.

The 30-year-old Scherzinger is set to quit the girl group in a bid to become a solo star.

Sharmila Tagore Soha Ali Khan in an English film

It's always nice to see Bollywood's current generation of star kids share screen space with their real life parents on screen. The trend was started by the Deols in Apne and now it’s the turn of mother-daughter duo of Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan. The duo will be seen on the big screen together for the first time in an English film directed by Sangeeta Datta.

"Yes Mom and I are doing a film together. It's an English film by a British production company and directed by Sangeeta Datta. It's an absolutely lovely script and shooting starts in May in London," Soha confirmed.

The as yet untitled film is not your typical boy-meets-girl love story and is in fact a family drama revolving around a father and his three daughters. Besides Sharmila and Soha, the film also stars Girish Karnad, Om Puri and some British actors.

It may be recalled that Sharmila and her son Saif Ali Khan starred together in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya- The Royal Guard. Now it will be Sharmila along with her daughter Soha in this flick.

Aishwarya Rai replaces Preity Zinta as TV Host

Preity Zinta was soon to be part of the television world with a reality show- ‘India's Got Talent’ which is the Indian adaptation of popular show ‘America`s Got Talent’, but it seems that her plans have been disturbed by Aishwarya Rai.

Preity is no longer part of the show .Preity was earlier in negotiations with the makers of the talent hunt show, but it was the delay of IPL which has cost Preity the show. She has to suffer a loss of an amount almost Rs 5 crore which she would have received for hosting the show.

The actress has informed the channel about her inability to do the show and after Preity’s exit, the next name which has popped up is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Feroz Khan dies of Cancer

The versatile style icon of the 70’s & 80’s- Feroz Khan breathed his last breath late Sunday night at his Bangalore residence. The veteran actor was battling cancer for over a year and had been in critical state for quite sometime now. He was 70 years.

Known as a flamboyant ladies man, his first big hit was the 1965 film “Onche Log” followed by several others like Tasveer, Qurbani, Yalgaar, Janbaaz, Janasheen, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and most recently Welcome. He also appeared in an English-language film “Tarzan Goes to India” in 1962 opposite Simi Garewal.

The actor was born in Bangalore on Sep 25, 1939. The yesteryear’s sensation is survived by his two children actor Fardeen Khan and daughter Laila. His family members were of the opinion that his death did not come unexpected as his health had been falling steeply.

As recognition to his contribution to Indian cinema, Feroz was conferred with several awards including the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000 and the Zee Cine Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008

Katrina Kaif makes Lara Dutta feel Unsafe

Lara Dutta seems to be insecure about her upcoming film- Blue. She is playing the main female lead in the film but seems to be feeling threatened and losing sleep over Katrina Kaif’s special appearance in the film. She is desperate to see the rushes of Blue and is requesting the makers for the same.

Katrina was a last minute addition to the film on recommendation of good friend Akshay Kumar who plays one of the three male leads of the film along with Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan. She was to to do an item number in the film. But seeing her bigger star status a few scenes too were shot on her and her role has increased which has made Lara feel unsafe.

The entire first round of publicity for the film was dominated by internationally famous pop singer Kylie Minogue. Lara’s hot bikini scans too haven’t done the trick for her either.

Her last release Billu too saw the trio of Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone hogging all the publicity when in fact she had a bigger n better role in the film. She doesn’t want the same to happen here over Katrina and Kylie.
So her feeling insecure is quite justified!!!

Shahrukh Khan banned from IPL

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan remains very tense of late. Though he is very good at handling his various responsibilities well, the stress has finally taken its toll on him. King Khan was spotted smoking on the stands on April 21, while watching his IPL team perform. But this stress busting act has not gone unnoticed as the anti-smoking squad has seen him smoking in the field which happens to be a public place.

The National Organization for Tobacco Eradication has sent the details to Supersport, who are the official broadcasters of the IPL and the NCAS. NCAS has said that television footage showing icons smoking dangerously increases the chances of children and other non-smokers picking up the habit as they try to emulate their heroes.

NCAS further said, “While smoking in public places is still not banned in South Africa, the department of health there was very active in lobbying for the concept of no smoking in public places. If Khan does it again we will ask the management to caution him, or we will seek his removal from the stadium."

Latest news has it that the dashing Hollywood actor Gerard Butler has flown down to Jaipur. Co-incidently Priyanka Chopra is also in Jaipur currently. The actress is shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's “What's Your Rashee?”

There had been talks in the past about a possible link up between Priyanka and Gerard Butler. Now Gerard came to India a couple of days ago with four friends. But he landed at Jaipur on Tuesday and spent the entire day on the sets of “What's Your Rashee?” Later, they dined together and are also staying at the same hotel - Shiv Vilas.

Gerard had first met Priyanka in November 2008 at the inauguration of Atlantis -The Palm, in Dubai and they have been good friends ever since. They were also spotted having a good time together at a party hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently, they are spending a lot of time with each other.

Gerard, quite a ladies man, has been linked to many beauties, including Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and Naomi Campbell.

Salman kept away from Asin-Ajay Devgan

While shooting for London Dreams, Salman Khan stayed at the Governor House, a very up market hotel in Central London.The rest of the cast and crew including Asin, Ajay Devgan and director Vipul Shah were staying at St James Court. So at the end of the day, while Asin and Ajay Devgan were spening good time chilling and chatting together Salman Khan would be all by himself.

So Salman Khan started complaining to Vipul Shah about being lonely and wanted to shift with the rest of the gang in St James Court. Vipul Shah was only happy to oblige and so Salman to shifted at St James Court.

Finally it was a happy reunion in true-blue Bollywood style.

Phalke Academy honours Greats of Bollywood

Dada Saheb Phalke Academy will honor veteran producer Surinder Kapoor. He will be presented the greatest glory of the Indian film industry- L.V. Prasad Phalke Award. Surinder Kapoor along with his entire family and Ramesh Prasad, MD & Chairman of Prasad Group of Company, will attend the Dada Saheb Phalke Jayanti celebrations which will to be held on 4th May in Mumbai at Bhaidas Hall.

The other recipants of the award will be the versatile actor Manoj Kumar, who will be conferred upon with Phalke Ratna, Shammi Kapoor who will be awarded the Phalke Legend, Shamshad Begum who will receive Phalke Golden Singer Award and Prithvi Raj Kapoor with the Phalke Kalpataru Award.

Shilpa Shetty is busy with her IPL matches but even if her tem- The Rajasthan Royals wins or not, she has a reason to party and celebrate. The sizzling babe is all set to tie the knot early next year with her Multi millionaire beau Raj Kundra.

Ranbir all set to take up politics

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to take up politics in Prakash Jha’s next- ‘Rajniti’. Ranbir’s character in the flick is based on the life of one of the great political leader- Rajiv Gandhi. The actor plays a young NRI in the film, who returns to India to join politics.

According to Prakash Jha, Ranbir’s character can be described as someone who “defines democracy in today’s world”. Ranbir is very excited about his looks and dialogues in the film. Ranbir won’t play the typical Indian Neta in the usual khadi kurta-pyjama dress code. The actor will be very trendily dressed. He plays a young man of today.

The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan , Arjun Rampal , Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpai.

Sonam Kapoor punished by Anil Kapoor

Even though Sonam Kapoor is one of the hottest newcomers in Bollywood not much has changed on the home front. Recently her dad Anil Kapoor got very upset with Sonam because she returned home at about 4 a.m., after an outing with her friends.

This did not go down too well with her dad Anil Kapoor and he has imposed a penalty on Sonam - that she be grounded at home for the next one month apart from her professional commitments. And the child has taken the punishment without any protest.

Sonam neither confirmed nor denied the story saying, “I am always on time.” Anil Kapoor was unavailable for comment.
