Lata Mangeshkar's Niece makes her debut

Radha Mangeshkar who is the niece of Nightangle of India- Lata Mangeshkar makes her debut as a singer with her debut album "Nav Maza Shaami", a compilation of Marathi folk songs.

Radha’s father Pandit Hridaynath has composed the music of the album, which was launched by Lata at a function.

Speaking on the occasion, the legendary singer said she was overwhelmed by the fact that the third generation of her family was ready take music as a full fledged profession.

Lata said it was upto the music lovers to decide whether Radha can be a good successful singer.

She said the album gives a new expression to the traditional folk songs. There are six songs penned by legends like N D Mahanor, Sudhir Moghe and late B B Borkar.

After eighteen weeks of grueling hard work, Salman Khan from Bangalore was voted the winner of Zee TV’s dance reality show "Dance India Dance" at the grand finale. Salman beat Siddesh Pai and Alisha Singh to walk away as the winner as well as a contract worth Rs.5 million with Zee TV.

Katy Perry designs slogan for Fashion against AIDS

Singer Katy Perry has joined the league of artists like N.E.R.D and Esteele and has designed a slogan for the 'Fashion against AIDs' campaign. The actress can be seen posing for the campaign in a body suit, featuring a smiley face in heart designed by her.

The bodysuit features an abstract pastel print of human insides - heart, kidneys and all in the front side and reads “It’s what`s on the outside that counts” on the back.

Katy hopes that the irony of her slogan will help people to think about the ideals that Fashion Against AIDS intends to promote, which are self-awareness, self-respect and, of course, safe sex. Katy declared her line "is about the heart, and about helping and educating people about the fight against AIDS."

The line designed by celebrities will be sold in the High Street firm`s Divided departments to help raise HIV/AIDS awareness.

Jennifer Garner voted best celebrity mom of US

Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner has been voted as the best celebrity mother. The actress topped the poll which was held among over 10,000 women on a US website.

Jennifer has two daughters - three-year-old Violet Anne and four-month-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth with husband Ben Affleck. The actress scooped 37 percent of the votes in the poll a website.

Heidi Klum to have a baby girl

Supermodel Heidi Klum is pregnant and she expects a baby girl. Although Klum had recently told Ellen DeGeneres that they didn’t know what they were having, her loving hubby Seal explained that Klum can’t keep a secret and had decided to let him share the sex of the baby publicly.

While performing his hits on the talk show, Seal allowed Winfrey to reveal the gender of the impending arrival. The couple announced the good news last month. The 35-year-old stunner and Seal were married in 2005.

Ranbir-Farhan in place of Ajay-Saif in Aparna Sen’s ‘Gulel’

Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar will be teaming up for their next venture. Both the actors have been roped in for Aparna Sen’s Hindi directorial debut- Gulel.

The film was to go on floors earlier with Ajay Devgan and Saif Ali Khan. Both the actors backed out of the project, and Ranbir and Farhan have been taken on board in place.

After Ranbir was confirmed for ‘Gulel’, Aparna was of the perception that she needed a more jolie actor to take Saif’s place and she chose thought of Farhan. Farhan was initially not keen on doing the film but finally arpana was able to convince her.

Miss California pageant to address contract violation

Miss California USA pageant’s co-directors plan to address whether current title holder Carrie Prejean will hold onto her crown amid allegations of contract violations. Keith Lewis and fellow co-director Shanna Moakler will make their case public Monday. The directors and Prejean’s representatives are close to a resolution.

The board is investigating whether the 21-year-old Carrie Prejean violated her contract by making public appearances with groups opposed to same-sex marriage and by failing to reveal that she had posed in her underwear as a teenager.

Lewis says Miss USA contest owner Donald Trump will make the decision on whether to disqualify Prejean.

John in love with Abbas Tyrewala’s wife- Bips Watchout!
