Coincidences do happen but this one has to top the list. Just when Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik was accused of bigamy on the eve of his wedding to Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza, Sajid Khan’s ‘Housefull’ also busted into the scene. Surprisingly the film bears a marking resemblance to the "Shoaib-Sania affair".
In the comedy, Akshay Kumar’s wedding to Deepika Padukone is interrupted by a woman, played by Jiah Khan who claimed to be his wife.
Commenting on the similarity, Akshay Kumar said: "I never thought of it. Now that you’ve pointed it out I guess there’s a resemblance. Actually I’ve three women claiming to be my wife in the film." But the actual sequence where Akshay’s wedding to Deepika is interrupted is too close to the happenings in the life of the Shoaib and Sania to be a coincidence.
Director Sajid Khan said: "What can I say, except that this is a case of life imitating art? We do have a sequence where Akshay’s wedding is interrupted by a woman claiming to be his wife. Compounding the similarities with the real life situation which are grabbing headlines is the fact that the first wife’s claims are not as simple as they seem. But I repeat the similarities are coincidental. I wrote my script two years ago."
Be as it may, the similarity between Shoaib Malik’s and Akshay Kumar’s respective predicaments seem to be a case of perfect timing.

Bal Thackeray abuses Sania Mirza
Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today abused tennis star Sania Mirza for deciding to marry Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. He claims that Sania is no longer an Indian. Bal Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece ''Saamana'' that if Sania been truly Indian at heart she would not have chosen a Pakistani.
Sania Mirza, who is the most successful woman tennis player from the sub-continent, has announced her marriage to the 28-year-old former Pakistan skipper on April 15 in Hyderabad.
Thackeray warned Sania to marry an Indian if she wishes to play for India. He further said that more than victories on tennis court, Sania became famous for her tight clothes, fashion and love affairs. "More than her play, people's attention was on her mannerisms," Bal Thackeray claimed.
The Sena supremo alleged that "For Shoaib, India is an enemy, not only in sports arena but also in the battlefield. We have heard that Shoaib has many affairs in India and has promised many girls he will marry them".

Sonam Kapoor plays Sania Mirza
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s who is known for some of the biggest hits in Bollywood, has found an apt subject in Sania Mirza for his next film.
The ace tennis sensation, surrounded by much controversy will be soon be portrayed by Sonam Kapoor in Bazmee’s next ‘Thank You’. The film is set to be a romantic comedy.
It is to hit floor in mid April and shoots are to be done in Canada. Even though the director is denying that Sania is the subject of his film, the striking similarities between Sonam’s role and Mirza’s life make Bazmee’s assertions tough to believe.
Just like Sania, Sonam plays a young, attractive tennis champ and falls in love with a guy, who is completely wrong for her. She soon realizes her mistake and turns back before it’s too late. Remember Sania calling off her engagement to Sohrab Mirza earlier this year before news of her impending marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik?
Talking about the news, director Bazmee said, “Sonam does play a tennis champ, and Akshay Kumar plays a guy who’s seeing 30-35 girls at the same time, until he meets Sonam. Though he gives up flirting, he’s not particularly serious about Sonam too. It’s a funny take on courtship.”

Sania Mirza to get married soon
Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza might have lost at the French Open women's singles event in straight sets to Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva but she has won a game at home. There have been talks that the Indian tennis sensation is going to marry a Hyderabadi guy named Sohrab Mirza, who is a 23-year-old business scholar.
Sania would be engaged to Sohrab on July 10 and would tie the knot in the near future. She has no plans to retire from tennis even after marriage and Sohrab is likely to pursue higher studies.
Sania was earlier linked to actor Shahid Kapoor after he split with Kareena Kapoor. They were spotted together even in some hot spots. However, their relationship didn't last long. She was also linked to Telugu actor Navadip Palaplu. But now, she has settled for a man from her own city.

SANIA Falls for Sarkaar Raj!!!
The Bachchans are all excited about their forthcoming film Sarkar Raj which opens across cinema halls this coming Friday.
Just last week, Amitabh along with beta Abhishek and bahu Aishwarya attended an event in the suburbs where the background score of Sarkar Raj was launched by T-Series. With the IPL mania finally coming to an end, all are now eagerly awaiting one of the first big releases this summer. And it’s not just our aam junta who is looking forward to this film but it seems that even tennis sensation Sania Mirza is eagerly awaiting the release of Sarkar Raj.
In fact just the other day, Sania was shooting next door to Amitabh Bachchan at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. When she knew that ‘Sarkar’ himself was in the vicinity she expressed her desire to meet him and wish him luck for his film. It may be recalled that Sania had even come on Bachchan’s popular game show KBC a few years back. Big B immediately came out of the shoot, when he heard that Sania has been waiting to meet him. After the exchange of pleasantries, Sania introduced her mother and sister to the superstar, and they wished him all the luck for Sarkar Raj. What’s more, Sania even appreciated the promos and said that even though she would be traveling abroad next week, she would definitely take time out and watch Sarkar Raj
Looks like Big B has yet another solid fan added to his humongous list of admirers.

Sania Mirza - The Inspiration Behind I for India
Now, a film is rumoured to be based on the life of tennis star Sania Mirza. The film titled I For India will be produced by Deepak R Gandhi - MD of Umbrella Films in collaboration with Los Angeles-based Distant Horizon Films.
Gandhi has recently completed a comedy film, Kuchh Khel Kuchh Masti.
When contacted, Hemant Das, the director of the film, says, "The film is definitely inspired by the life of Sania Mirza. But it's best to say that it is based on anybody who dreams of making it big and who chases the dream against all odds."
So what are the similarities between the film and the tennis icon's life? Hemant says diplomatically, "We are definitely not drawing up any biographical inspiration.
However, there might be some character traits similar to Ms Mirza. It's a mix of fiction and reality."
And who has been signed to play the title role? "We have Esha Deol in mind," adds the debutante director.
Any guesses for who will play Sania's love interest, Shahid Kapur?
