Known for his perfectionist ways, there is no dearth of good roles offered to Aamir Khan. Going by the latest buzz, Aamir may play the lead in Krishna Shah’s next venture ‘Baiju – The Gypsy’.
Hollywood director Krishna Shah was working on a script for his next movie ‘Baiju – The Gypsy’ and the director was very keen to cast Aamir in the lead role. But buzz has it that the script was put on indefinite hold by the director.
Interestingly, director Krishna Shah seems inspired to work on the project again, after AR Rahman comments that Krishna Shah’s ‘Baiju-The Gypsy’ was one of the most cherished scripts he has read and was disappointed when it was put on hold.
Director Shah said, "In fact Rahman had insisted on me contacting Aamir for the role of Baiju. He even offered to call him. But somehow, things did not work out".
However, Shah does not have time to direct ‘Baiju – The Gypsy’ now, as he is working on his forthcoming film ‘Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story’. Shah is now looking for a talented director who can implement his much touted script of ‘Baiju – The Gypsy’ on big screen.

Aamir and Tabu together again
There can’t be a bigger casting coup at least cinematically. Yes, you read it right, Aamir Khan and Tabu will share screen space in Priyadarshan’s next flick, which will be based on AIDS.
Priyadarshan has approached Tabu for the flick after signing Aamir for the same. Tabu, who has previously worked with Priyadarshan in ‘Virasat’ is said to be more than interested in the project.
Talking about the film, Priyadarshan said, “I wanted to make this film a year back. But I wanted to see the reaction to my other realistic film ‘Kanchivaram’. Now I know my audience is as open to watching my more realistic films as my comedies”.
The director is presently involved in extensive research for the film, since the project is said to be an extensive insight into the social stigma attached to the disease.
The talented duo, Aamir and Tabu had starred together in Yash Chopra’s ‘Fanaa’, but weren’t paired opposite each other and this will be the first time that they’ll get to work together extensively.
