Despite the hype surrounding the Bachchans’ Unforgettable tour for two months, the first segment of the tour has been called off abruptly. After the London leg of the show, the performances scheduled in Rotterdam and Oberhausen have been cancelled at the last minute, as the promoters of the show were not too keen on them.
Fans who had purchased tickets in Rotterdam and Oberhausen, were very disappointed as the tour was called off at the last minute but nothing could be done about it. The local promoters defaulted at the last minute making it impossible for us to continue with the shows.”
However, different version was also heard. It was said that the tour has been called off due to the lack of response from the audience. However, one of the main reasons for calling off the tour is mediocre ticket sales.
The tickets are very expensive and ‘the meet and greet with the stars’ comes at an additional price. Also, as compared to the Unforgettable tour, the tickets of SRK’s Temptations shows were much cheaper. Considering another Temptations tour being in the offing in Europe including Germany, Bollywood fans were in no mood to buy expensive tickets for the Unforgettable tour.”
Amitabh Bachchan said , “The promoters of the show have defaulted on the contract… I’m not authorised to give a comment on this. And ticket price is not an issue. All our other nine shows in Canada, Trinidad and in entire USA and London were sold out.’
Meanwhile, music composer Shekhar, who is part of the tour, has a different take. He said, “Considering the fact that we are planning to have our segment of the show in Europe, we had an afterthought about doing the shows now in Rotterdam and Oberhausen. We have now scheduled shows in the said European cities for our second segment in Europe.”
Now, that’s a lot of reasons for the cancellation of the shows.

Aish down with German Measels
Aishwarya Rai is down with German measles. The actress, who has been under the weather since the past couple of days, has been medically advised not to come in contact with anyone as it is contagious.
A source reveals that Ash hadn't been keeping well ever since she returned from the IIFA awards in Bangkok earlier this month. After complaining of fever and bodyache for several days, Ash landed up with German measles.
Pa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan confirms the development and says, "Yes, it's been a while. But she's almost out of it."
Adds the source, "Ash has been advised complete bedrest. Since the virus takes its own time to subside, there isn't much she can do. She's cancelled all her appointments."
Another source close to the family adds, "Ash's condition has improved now and she's on her way to recovery. This is the first time she has been affected by measles."

Unforgettables-It should be Unforgettable-Aish
The Bachchan family is busy rehearsing for a perfect world tour from July.
But, its ethereally beautiful daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says even if things “go a bit (amiss) here and there” on stage, it only makes the stars real and human. “You do all that is required professionally to put up an entertaining evening for your fans and well-wishers. But, very honestly, my attitude is that I would like to keep it real,” says Aishwarya in an interview in Bangkok, where she is attending the 9th International Indian Film Academy awards event.
The Bachchan family is planning a world tour, titled The Unforgettable Tour, from July that will go on till next year. “It’s incredible, the connection with fans, because they never allow you to see them let you down or you letting them down. It is great when it is real and human,” she says and goes on to add, “That’s the difference between in-person interaction through our stage shows as opposed to that on celluloid and an audience sitting in a theatre and watching.”
The tour will have Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Preity Zinta. While Akshay Kumar will join them for the inaugural evening in Toronto on July 18, Madhuri Dixit-Nene will perform in the US and Shilpa Shetty in Britain. “We are excited about the guest stars, as it makes it novel. In my experience it has never happened before. We are getting guest acts and it is going to be fun for the audiences too,” she says.

The Unforgettable Tour likely to be Unforgettable
The Unforgettable Tour of the Bachchans is scheduled to start from July 18, promises to just be like its name 'Unforgettable'. Now that Madhuri has also agreed to be part of the tour, both Madhuri and Aishwarya Rai will be seen performing on the famous 'Dola re' number from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas.
A source says, "After Akshay Kumar agreed to be part of the tour for some shows, Madhuri also gave her nod. Aishwarya and Abhishek have already begun rehearsing for the show and are quite excited about it. Madhuri is meanwhile rehearsing for the songs as well. Both Madhuri and Aishwarya who set the screen on fire will be seen performing for the first ever time together on stage with 'Dola re'. Madhuri will be a guest performer on the show in select cities just like Akshay Kumar. The entire Bachchan family is eager to perform on the 'Kajra re' number as well."
Preity Zinta and Ritesh Deshmukh are the other performers apart from the Bachchans.
