The fact has recently surfaced that Michael Jackson’s 11-year-old daughter Paris Hilton has been named after Paris Hilton. The hotel heiress said that she was very close to the late singer and her mum since their teenage years onwards. And when it came to choosing a name for his daughter, the King of Pop asked permission from Kathy Hilton before settling on ‘Paris’.
"My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13. So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me.” said Paris.
“So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she`s such a beautiful little girl and I`m proud we have the same name," she added.

Michael Jackson’s death suspected to be homicide
The Los Angeles Police Department is treating Michael Jackson’s death as a homicide and is focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray.
Michael’s family spoke of "unanswered questions" concerning Murray’s role in the final hours of Jackson’s life. Murray’s lawyers insist he has been cleared of wrongdoing. The evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson’s death.
Already several powerful evidences indicate that Murray administered the drug, named Diprivan to the "King of Pop." The evidence includes items found in Jackson’s rented mansion, including Propofol, an IV stand and an oxygen tank which used to induce unconsciousness in hospital patients ahead of major surgery.
The LAPD has already had multiple conversations with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, even though the case has not yet been formally presented to the district attorney.
The report came after the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office subpoenaed the superstar’s dermatologist Arnold Klein on Tuesday, seeking additional medical records from the physician’s Beverly Hills office.
Investigators have been scrutinizing the possible role of drugs in the death of Jackson.

Bollywood moaned the demise of Michael Jackson
Saddened by the tragic death of the singer, Farah Khan said, "I officially had no training in dance and whatever I learnt was by watching Michael Jackson’s videos, especially `Thriller` over and over again. I consider him as my ‘guru’. He was the real reason why I wanted to become a choreographer. What I am today is because I saw his video ‘Thriller’. It was at that moment that I wanted to take up dancing as a profession".
Sanjay Dutt too expressed his grief. "I was really shocked on learning the news of his death. It’s really sad. I have never seen an artist with so much talent. I saw him at a show in New York and Bombay too. I was sitting in the VIP section but I was at a distance. He was a great performer and a super entertainer."
Film director Anurag Basu said “This is actually the end of an era. Our whole generation has grown up listening to his songs. This news is actually very sad and shocking”.
Sukhwinder Singh said, “It's a huge loss for the music industry. People remember him only as king of pop, but his grip on the music was too wide to be restricted to one genre.”
Sunidhi Chauhan said, “He was the one and only. My favourite song of his was "I just cant stop loving you".
Subhash Ghai said, “Michael Jackson was a symbol of fire, passion and energy of talent who changed the peopl'e thinking. Youth followed him worldwide including in India and even our film music and dances have been heavily influenced by him.”
Madhur Bhandarkar said, “We have been listening to his songs since 1980s and 1990s. The kind of euphoria that he created that time was amazing. His death is a great loss. It is so unfortunate that just weeks before he was supposed to hit the stage for his shows, he passed away. But he will always remain the king of music.”

King of Pop -Michael Jackson dies at 50
A true music genius, Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, and then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him but couldn’t save him.
It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. Cardiac arrest is an abnormal heart rhythm that stops the heart from pumping blood to the body. It can occur after a heart attack or be caused by other heart problems.
Billboard magazine editorial director Bill Werde said “Jackson`s star power was unmatched. The world just lost the biggest pop star in history, no matter how you cut it. He is literally the king of pop."
"It seemed to me that his internal essence was at war with the norms of the world. It`s as if he was trying to defy gravity, The star appeared fragile at the time but was "much more cunning and shrewd about the industry than anyone knew." said Michael Levine.
Jackson’s death brought a tragic end to an era. He was the king of pops who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.
