After Jail, Madhur Bhandarkar is ready with yet another subject - The Award functions in Bollywood. The movie titled 'Awards' will be produced by Percept Picture Company which is expected to have a budget of about Rs 40 crores.
The movie is expected to reveal the behind the scenes drama and the inner workings of award functions. It may also bring out aspects of certain award functions that bear allegiance to certain camps and certain actors who manipulate awards.
After director Ashutosh Gowariker's statement against Priyanka Chopra, who may play the lead role at an international award function, Bhandarkar realised there was enough drama in the subject for a full-fledged film.
The movie is also expected to involve incidents from the recent award functions. that might also include Ashutosh's verbal argument with host Sajid Khan.
The pre-production work will only start after the release of Jail in October. If everything goes well, the movie will go on floors in November.

Ashutosh Gowariker to make Rs 600 crore film on ‘Buddha’
Ashutosh Gowariker is just unstoppable. He is getting bigger by the day. After the enormous success of grand epics like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar, the director is all set for his next film- Buddha, the budget of which is expected to be Rs. 600 crore.
Ashutosh Gowariker is planning the grandest flick till date which will be based on the life of Gautam Buddha and it is expected to be the most expensive film ever made in Bollywood.
Gowariker is in talks with Industrialist BK Modi, who has been planning to make a movie on Buddha since long. Modi has been in talks with big names like Deepak Chopra and the Dalai Lama for the same .It was Ashutosh`s past projects that led Modi to decide in his favour since ‘Buddha’ is also a mega-budget flick, similar to films made by Gowariker.
Looks like this flick would prove to be a great accomplishment for Ashutosh.

Priyanka dances for 22 hours at a Stretch
Priyanka Chopra is playing as many as 12 different characters in Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Raashee? But this is just not it . She has also stunned everybody by dancing non-stop for 22 hours for a special song in the movie. Though Priyanka isn't allowed to speak about it, it was a challenge that required her to swing from mood to mood at the drop of a beat.
Under the choreographic supervision of Raju Khan, Priyanka performed to a song that required her to bring all the 12 characters together in all their varying moods and personalities.
Priyanka shot with Raju Khan for 22 hours at a stretch. At times she couldn't sit or take a breather for hours at a stretch as this would have broken the rhythm of the 12 characters as captured in one line of vision. Each of the characters represents a different star sign of the zodiac.
Priyanka's unique role can be compared to Sanjeev Kumar's nine avatars in Naya Din Nayi Raat .The film also stars Priyanka's ex-beau Hurman S. Baweja.
