The Nationalist Congress Party has decided to field a celebrity from Rajkot in Gujarat. The choice is beetween former cricketer Ajay Jadeja and Bollywood actress Ameesha. Both Ameesha and Ajay Jadeja have their roots in Gujarat and their popularity could just prove the difference.
“'Yes, it is true that we are going to field a celebrity from the Rajkot seat. The choice is between Ajay Jadeja or Ameesha. The central leadership in New Delhi will now decide who should be fielded from Rajkot,” said NCP Gujarat unit chief Jayant Patel.
They are also looking to field another celebrity from the Ahmedabad (East) Lok Sabha seat as star value certainly works everywhere in the country.
