Hrithik to sing in Kites

So what's common between Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan? Well true, they are all superstars! But there's one more thing common to all of them and its playback singing. All have lent their voice whenever the script has demanded it so.
Now Hrithik Roshan has joined the league too as he recently recorded a song for his upcoming film 'Kites'. It was director Anurag Basu's brainwave to get the actor to sing a song for the film. And Basu vouches for Hrithik's singing capabilities. So here's another feather on Hrithik's already ornate cap.

"When we asked Hrithik to sing for 'Kites', he agreed to it without any fuss. He got trained and has sung very professionally. When you'll hear the song, it'll sound as if some professional singer has sung it. He is quite good at it," says Anurag Basu. But what made Basu try the stunt? "In fact, the scene demanded an actor's voice for that particular song. It could not have a playback singer singing in the background," says Mr Basu.

Music for 'Kites' has been scored by Hrithik's uncle and music-director Rajesh Roshan. The film, which is scheduled to release early next year, has been shot in various foreign locations including Mexico and Las Vegas. The last leg of the shooting is to take place in Mumbai shortly.
