Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra-Dostana ends

Dainty beauty Priyanka Chopra is in her best of moods these days. The cause of her foul mood is none other than her Dost - Abhishek Bachchan. Known for her soberness and politically correct statements, Priyanka showed her wilder side, as she got feisty with good friend Abhishek Bachchan.

The duo got engaged in a bitter war of words with Priyanka walking off on Abhishek at the 54th Idea Filmfare awards. The gorgeous twosome has a tiff over a petty song. Priyanka was approached to perform at the Filmfare awards which she agreed upon and had presented her choice of songs. But to her dismay Abhishek too was doing a number for the event decided to groove on the same song.

Priyanka selected the track first. Later, Abhishek also wanted the same song as he was performing after a long time and wanted to get jiggy on this particular track.

With Abhishek to willing to budge, Priyanka decided to take the high road and let go of her act.

Does Konkona play a Lesbian?

The gay/lesbian element has been the perfect recipe for the success of a film of late. There has been thalks that Konkona Sen Sharma is playing a lesbian in the latest flick 'The President Is Coming'.

But the fact is that it was nothing but a marketing strategy. It's shocking to know the extent to which filmmakers go to generate hype around a film. And surprisingly though Konkona has no problems with this strategy. She's certainly learnt the tricks of the business.

There was a similar misconseption among the audiences about 'Dostana'. The press kept saying John and Abhishek were playing homosexuals in the film but reality was quite different, as everyone discovered on the release of the film. Konkona's character is quite similar. She plays a woman who pretends to be lesbian in order to make things easier.

One may wonder how happy gay rights groups would be about this increasingly frequent portrayal of homosexuality as a way out of trouble.

Incidentally, 'The President Is Coming' was supposed to release much earlier, but had to be postponed due to the 26/11 terror attacks.

Tarun is also working on the animation version of KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI. Incidentally, Tarun had joined Karan as an apprentice when he started KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI and the talented director must be reliving the moments all over again.

Well lets wait and watch what Tarun has in store for the DOSTANA fans.

The Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra to be 'Goddess of Atlantis'

'Desi girl' Priyanka Chopra just couldn't have asked for more from life. On one hand, while she has got the critics and masses under her sway with her brilliant performances in her two back-to-back hit films - Fashion and Dostana, one the other she has added one more jewel in her cap of already glittering feats and achievements, by being chosen as the 'Goddess of Atlantis' at the mega inauguration function of Dubai's latest iconic luxury resort, the $1.5 billion hotel 'Atlantis The Palm' on Palm Jumeirah on November 20. This was one magnanimous function which saw the coming together of all the crème de la crème of Hollywood and Bollywood.

Priyanka also did the gracious act of introducing 'Atlantis Rising', an aerial ballet of fireworks, performed by Grucci family, who did the pyrotechnics in the Beijing Olympics. Amongst the heavyweights who graced this occasion included the likes of Janet Jackson, Robert De Niro, Kylie Minogue, Michael Jordan and Shah Rukh Khan, to name a few.

All in all, Priyanka Chopra is shining on the international map… all over again!

Harman is Fond of Priyanka in a BIKINI

Priyanka Chopra's hot new avatar in Dostana is been adored by her fans. The actress has been fending off people by saying that she has donned a 'swimsuit'and not a bikini in the film.

Whatever! Quite interestingly, in Koffee with Karan, the host(Karan Johar) asked the actress what her beau had to say about her hot new turn. And after denying for sometime she did say that her boyfriend (Harman Baweja?) found it quite "hot" and "fab".

There have been many rumours of the couple ending on the splits ville, but this coy remark from the actress should put things on 'back on track. Also, the actress recently made another declaration that Harman was and will be special for her.

Looks like Harman is loving priyanka in the new hot "AVTAR".

Shilpa dancesto the tune of friendship with K Jo

In sensuous skirts, bikini tops and hair streaked in bright pink, Shilpa Shetty was almost unrecognisable as she shimmered for an item song with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana.

Shilpa swayed sensuously to the item number without charging a penny from Dharma Productions. Shilpa did not want to discuss the monetary aspect of the number. She said" Karan is a dear friend and I wouldn’t let money be an issue between us at all. It’s an extremely chic song with leggy movements.Since practically the whole of Miami lives on the beaches, the number was shot almost entirely there.”

The song, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant had Shilpa lip synching ‘Shut up and bounce’ all over the beaches of Miami.

When Karan Johar initially approached Shetty for the number, she was reluctant, as she was getting into film production and she didn’t need to do an item number at that stage, no matter how good the offer was. But when she heard the song, she immediately agreed.

Priyanka is the new Item Girl of Bollywood

Actress Priyanka Chopra is on a roll these days. Despite the debacle of Love Story 2050, she has a lot to look forward to this year and so do her fans. The actress is believed to have done a bikini number in Tarun Mansukhani's Dostana . Also recently she has gone ahead and done a sizzling number in the soon-to-be released Drona.

The actress will be seen in a lot of glamorous avatars this season. First was her golden bikini bit in Dostana, then there is the Drona item number, finally culminating in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. But coming back to Drona, the actress has just shot an item number for the film. It is believed to be the female version of the title track, to be sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. The dance has been choreographed by Ahmed Khan. The actress plays a character called Sonia in the film. Sonia is Drona's bodyguard. Her character is portrayed as being tough and intense and powerful. The actress professes to have enjoyed shooting for the film as her character was a different one and for which she had to undergo a lot of training. Priyanka's role is perhaps a first for Hindi cinema, where the female is the bodyguard and a sexy and tough one at that. Goldie Behl's Drona is supposed to be a fantasy film, on the lines of Hollywood classics like Indiana Jones and Pirates of The Caribbean.

Shilpa to be seen in Karan’s Dostana as an Item Girl

For all those who think that Shilpa Shetty's popularity is only limited to the UK, this one surely could prove to be an eye-opener. The strikingly beautiful actress created quite a flutter when she was recently shooting for Dharma Productions' Dostana in Miami.

Shilpa, who will be seen after a long gap on the big screen, looks stunning on the beaches of Miami. Shilpa is doing a special item number in the film and was seen having a ball of a time while shooting on the beaches of Miami. The desi-crowd surely went crazy seeing Shilpa dressed in beach-wear and before one could realise, the actress was hounded for autographs and photographs.
