It is not good news for Harman as after two consecuitive flops - Victory and Love Story 2050, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to dump Hurman Baweja as the lead actor for his upcoming flick ‘Chenab Gandhi’.
It is believed that John Abraham is the man who would play the lead role in the film. Hurman was the lead actor in the film, but after the poor show in previous films Sanjay seems to have lost trust in the young boy.
If John becomes the lead actor in the film, this is going to be actor`s fourth film with Big B after Viruddh, Aetbaar and Babul. ‘Chenab Gandhi’, also stars Vidya Balan as the lead actress. The film is expected to have a budget of Rs 35 crores.

Does Konkona play a Lesbian?
But the fact is that it was nothing but a marketing strategy. It's shocking to know the extent to which filmmakers go to generate hype around a film. And surprisingly though Konkona has no problems with this strategy. She's certainly learnt the tricks of the business.
There was a similar misconseption among the audiences about 'Dostana'. The press kept saying John and Abhishek were playing homosexuals in the film but reality was quite different, as everyone discovered on the release of the film. Konkona's character is quite similar. She plays a woman who pretends to be lesbian in order to make things easier.
One may wonder how happy gay rights groups would be about this increasingly frequent portrayal of homosexuality as a way out of trouble.

John-Bips Play the Host
John Abraham was recently in Delhi, and then he was to be in Bangkok later, with girlfriend Bipasha Basu. But the couple cancelled their trip for a wedding. Not theirs – hold your horses – but that of John’s brother Alan! They were scheduled to attend an award function in the Thai capital, but they cancelled because Alan got married to his Romanian girlfriend Anca recently.
John’s brother Alan got married to his long-time girlfriend Anca in Romania just two weeks ago.
Hence, John has been very busy with his brother’s wedding preparations and cancelled his trip to Bangkok. His family hosted a grand reception in Mumbai on Saturday evening. The reception was held in Bandra, and John and Bips played the hosts there.
It was a completely private affair and John didn’t want many people to know about it. The guests at the reception included mostly his close friends and relatives. It’s been a while since Anca shifted to Mumbai and that’s how she met Alan. He’s finally gotten married and John and his family are very happy about it.”

John gets mobbed by 1000 Girls
The unconventionally planned music release of Aashayein turned out to be far more unusual than planned. After John Abraham sang the number he had diligently rehearsed, girls in the crowd forced him and the band back on stage for more.
"It was simply crazy. I think we underestimated John's pull and his pursuit of excellence. I thought he'd come on stage croon a few lines, shake his hips in tight trousers, blow kisses and melt into the night. No way," Elahi Hiptoolah, executive producer of Aashayein said.
"John arrived in the afternoon for the technical rehearsal and by evening he was fully prepared. And so was the audience. It was all calm peaceful and romantic with a 3,000-strong audience waiting quietly by the seaside," she added.
The event took place Wednesday at the Heritage Property in Bandra, and Elahi says that they were not aware of the fact that the music launch of Love Story 2050 is also taking place.
"We hadn't planned a big music launch and we certainly had no clue there was another music launch the same evening. We just wanted to do something different. So we thought of making all the singers including John perform their tracks from Aashayein live on stage. We never thought there would be such a massive turn-out, or that John would take his first live performance so seriously.
"John sang Ab mujhko jeena. There was a deathly silence and then the roar began until it grew in to a deafening crescendo. Salim-Suleiman's band had already packed up and left. They had to be called back to unzip their equipment and accompany John's singing," Elahi added.
The film revolves around a compulsive gambler and is set to release next month.

After directing two thrillers 'Ek Hasina Thi' and 'Johnny Gaddar', Sriram Raghavan is ready with his third script, which is a romantic film. The director says he is waiting for dates from Aishwarya Rai and John Abraham to start the film.
