Indian Musician Anoushka Shankar and British Rock band Jethro Tull will perform in a concert. This will be the first event organized in Mumbai since the terrorist attacks . Another concert, The Live Earth concert had been cancelled in the wake of the attacks.
The band was scheduled to perform in Mumbai last week but was postponded due to the terrorist attack. Proceeds from the Mumbai concert would go to a charity set up for victims of the attacks.
For Anoushka Shankar, the concert is a sort of catharsis. “Our entire tour has been changed by these events and even though the structure of the concert may remain the same, emotionally perhaps we are saying a lot more,” she said
