The Arora sisters, Malaika and Amrita, had initially bagged an item number in Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap, which later went to Sophie Chowdhury. Now, it seems that Malaika has lost item another number to her.
According to reports, Sophie is all set to do an item number for Freeze, directed by Jehangir Sutri and produced by Krishika Lulla and Sunil Lulla of Eros International. The film stars Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
It seems that Malaika was initially approached to do the item number but she could not shoot on the required days. Therefore the makers decided to rope in Sophie for the song. This is the second item number in the recent past that Sophie has grabbed from under Malaika's nose.
One remembers the hue and cry made over both the Arora sisters doing an item number together in Kidnap. They were reportedly offered quite a hefty sum for the number as well. Malaika had even prepared for her look, etc in the song when suddenly one heard that Malaika and Amrita were out and Sophie was in. Guess, finally there is some serious competition for Malaika.
