Little did Shilpa Shetty know that the perfect birthday bash she had planned for herself on Saturday night to usher in her birthday on June 8 in Dubai wouldn’t be a perfect one after all. Her bag went missing at Dubai’s international airport.
Shilpa laughs and says, “It could be the shortest flight from Mumbai to Pune, but I am sure to lose a bag!”
When Shilpa landed at the airport with beau Raj Kundra, sister Shamita and parents she found that the bag which carried her birthday party outfit was untraceable by the authorities.
Late in the afternoon, she had to go shopping for clothes in Dubai with her sister for the party in the night. And as if all was not over yet, Shilpa fell ill and was unable to attend her own party. “I’ve been on antibiotics for the past week.
Ever since I got repeatedly wet in artificial rain for a song with Sunny Deol in The Man, I’ve been suffering from cough and fever. It got worse on Saturday and we had to call for a doctor,” says Shilpa.
We ask how she feels about not being able to attend her own party. She says she has no regrets. “That’s because I got to spend the evening with my family,” she adds.
