At that time, Saif gave his director the final say in casting and Imtiaz chose Deepika Padukone. But it seems that Saif is having second thoughts about it. He would have preferred to have been cast opposite Kareena in the maiden film of his banner as well. He believes now that he should have probably insisted on working with Bebo.
